FAQ

Common questions.

Something else? Message us on WhatsApp.

Why has Speedy Debt Collection contacted me?

A creditor has asked us to recover money they say you owe them. Message us on WhatsApp and we will tell you who the creditor is, the amount, and what it is for.

Can I pay in instalments?

Usually, yes. Tell us what you can afford each month and we will put a plan to the creditor. Once agreed, we confirm it in writing.

What if I do not owe the money?

Tell us why and send any evidence, such as receipts or messages. We record the dispute and raise it with the creditor before taking any further step.

What happens if I ignore the letter?

The creditor may take further action, including a claim at the Small Claims Tribunals or in court. It is almost always better to speak to us before the deadline.

Will a debt collector come to my home?

A collector may visit to discuss payment, but must not threaten, intimidate or harass you. That conduct is against the law in Singapore.
